POWER On Heels Fund, Inc is so happy with the launch of the LATINA POWER Academy’s leadership program – Elevate The Powerful Leader Within. We had a sold out event with 100 women participating in the event. The seminar’s content had real intention by defining leadership and the intersectionality of culture.
It prepares Latinas to #shift perceptions, #pivot behaviors, and encourage greater #influence where they lead. Each topic was lead by seven dynamic Latina leaders intertwining their #experiences and #expertise.
We even had a surprise visit by Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia, State Senator Carol Alvarado and two members of the British Parliament, Yasmin Qureshi and Anum Qaisar.
Thank you to our sponsors for supporting our mission to assist #Latinas in becoming their own best #advocates for themselves against the inequity of #GenderPayGap
A big that you to everyone whose efforts went into making the event a success – our volunteers, speakers, UHD interns and vendors.
“Mission accomplished!”
