Our 2020 Mid-Year Update

Power On Heels Fund Inc. continues to find ways to engage, empower and inspire our powerful community of Latinas! In February 2020, we focused on continuing to teach, bring awareness to and advocate against the gender pay gap inequity Latinas face. When COVID-19 closed down our city we began to explore how to conduct and introduce new ways to keep our community engaged and connected! POHF shifted to virtual events across our platforms. We have reached and made available invaluable relevant programming to assist in getting through the challenges everyone is experiencing!

An empowering and informative day that is sure to create real steps to handle these types of situation to make you more POWERFUL in 2020 and beyond! Our panelists tackled the topics of Pay Gap Inequity, Structural Bias, Prejudgment & Prejudice, Political Influence and Access to Capital. A big thank you to:

  • Maria Del Pilar Montes | Director | Mayor’s Office Boards & Commissions
